AOC Reveals Q27T1 Monitor: With 'Style'
by Anton Shilov on November 6, 2019 12:00 PM ESTAOC is about to start sales of its new Q27T1 display. It comes with a 'designed by Studio F. A. Porsche' logo which aims to propogate a sense of style, decent specifications, and a 'reasonable' price. The monitor is targeted at office workers, yet it may also appeal to gamers and multimedia enthusiasts as it supports AMD’s FreeSync variable refresh rate technology.
AOC’s Porsche Design Q27T1 display comes in a sleek chassis with slim bezels on three sides and featuring an asymmetric stand. The monitor is very thin, yet it has a an integrated cable management with a special cover.
Characteristics wise, the AOC Q27T1 is a good performance-mainstream display: it has a 27-inch IPS panel featuring a 2560×1440 resolution, 350 nits brightness, a 1300:1 contrast ratio, a variable refresh rate between 48 Hz and 75 Hz, and viewing angles of 178º. The display claims to cover 107% of the sRGB and 90% of the NTSC color gamut. To make it more comfortable for work, the monitor has an anti-glare coating. As for inputs, the LCD has two HDMI 1.4 connectors, one DisplayPort 1.2, a line in, and a headphone output.
The Q27T1 is not AOC’s first Porsche Design monitor. About two and a half years the company introduced its PDS-series 23-inch and 27-inch LCDs designed for the same style-minded audience and offering a Full-HD resolution. One of the peculiarities of those displays was an external PSU with a proprietary connection that integrated an HDMI interface and a power cable into the same wire, which is not particularly practical. The new monitor not only features improved specifications, but does not use proprietary connections (yet it still has an external PSU).

Looks good BUT no tilt or height adjustment?SmCaudata - Wednesday, November 6, 2019 - link
It looks to tilt. Probably the standard -5 to +20. Definitely no height, rotate, or swivel. Lack of movement paired with lack of VESA makes workplace use more difficult.mrvco - Wednesday, November 6, 2019 - link
I have no experience with AOC displays, but this one looks nice enough and the specs look viable for an all-rounder. A VESA mount as an option to the stand would be a nice touch.Alistair - Wednesday, November 6, 2019 - link
Wish they would make 90 or 120hz the standard... waste of money without itcasas_adria - Friday, November 8, 2019 - link
